This early-’90s JB62 represents Fujigen Gakki at the peak of their craft. The 1993-94 production run came just before the transition to “Crafted in Japan” labeling, making these late MIJ examples particularly desirable among collectors. Built to replicate the specifications of Fender’s iconic 1962 Jazz Bass, this 3-Color Sunburst example features the period-correct stack-knob controls, rosewood fingerboard, and vintage-style pickups that defined the early ’60s Jazz Bass sound.
Fujigen’s attention to detail during this era earned these reissues their “giant killer” reputation – instruments that rivaled or exceeded vintage American Fenders at a fraction of the cost.
